Position Sensor ICs

Position Sensor ICs are available in the following categories. Each has a variety of magnetic characteristics and package styles, including SOT-23, flat TO-92-style, and SOT-89B:

• Unipolar: Sensors detect the magnetic field to only a single pole (North or South).
• Omnipolar: Sensors detect the magnetic field and respond to either pole (North or South).
• Bipolar: Sensors detect the magnetic field and respond to both poles (North and South).
• Latching: Sensors latch on to an initial pole (North or South) until a magnetic field of sufficient strength of the opposite polarity is brought near the sensor IC.
• Low Power: Includes the Nanopower Series and the Micropower Series
